Managing Users

What is a user? A user is a person or computer system who has been granted access to resources in Changelogic. Changelogic licensing is based on counting active users – the amount of users having any roles more powerful than the restricted client role. You may close old users and create new ones to redistribute the licenses.

You can access the list of users under user menu -> users. User list gives quick overview of users in Changelogic and their privileges. It allows you to search for users and filter them by various criteria.

By clicking on user's name, you can see detailed data of user. If you have user administration privilege, you can change user's data.



To add a new user, click the link “New user” on users list page. Enter user's data, roles and privileges. After user has been created, an e-mail is sent to him/her. It contains link to login page, username and password. If “Password changing required” was checked, user cannot continue without first changing the password. Password changing can be required only if user has privilege to change password. If “Don't e-mail new password” was checked, no e-mail is sent to user and login information is displayed after creating a user.
